this is a basic mock-up for the first chapter, it's cover art. i didn't name it, i don't name a lot of the work i make.
surprising nobody, i have a vouge subscription. peachgirl and appleboy's outfits are both inspired by different subcultures.
peachgirl's is kinda coquette, while appleboy's is more modern emo. both of whicha are vaguely inspired by vivienne westwood.
it's a first draft. i actually like this more than the final painting.
lemongirl is the fourth child, technically. as a character, she's from china.
there's a lot of superstition in china over the number four, because it's a homonym for the word death. (死)
so, obviously with this information you can tell where i was going here. her name is technically sì, the pronounciation for four.
she's also the only character to only have a name that's her number. it adds to her air of mystery.

I don't really think she's a god, that's too cult-y for me. I simply couldn't come up with another name.

this takes place after the first big battle in the comic, where peachgirl loses her arm.
it was inspired by how i am constantly experiencing knee pain.
i have no idea why.
